International festival for contemporary music
The Zagreb Music Biennale is an international festival of contemporary music which was founded in 1961. During the festival, which takes place in April every second year, Zagreb is transformed into a leading cultural centre attracting composers, musicians, music critics and music lovers from all over Europe.
Asko|Schönberg presents a varied programme including Ligeti’s Piano concerto, with the young solo pianist Andrey Gugnin, who studies in Moscow.
