Objective of Stichting Asko|Schönberg:
The foundation aims to promote and perform music from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, as well as everything related to, connected with, or conducive to this goal, all interpreted in the broadest possible sense.
The foundation explicitly does not aim to make a profit.
It seeks to achieve its objective by forming a musical ensemble that performs in a flexible composition and by promoting and encouraging the practice of this type of music in the broadest sense of the word.
Main policy objectives:
With a rich network of musicians, conductors, composers, and talented young creators, Stichting Asko|Schönberg aims to contribute to the development of contemporary musical creation. The ensemble strives to function as an accessible platform that, together with innovative and energetic partners, supports the ongoing evolution of contemporary composed music in all its various forms.
