Martijn Padding’s music never fails to put a smile on your face. In addition to being a great composer, he has also been an passionate teacher for decades, inspiring younger generations of composers. His music is original, filled with virtuosity, often tongue-in-cheek, and always a perfect fit for the musicians. Martijn Padding: “I developed as a composer partially due to years of improvising with a friend cellist at the conservatory. Through the cello I managed to enter the world of string music as a pianist composer.”
