TROMP 2016 Finale

Once every two years the finest percussion talents from around the world gather together at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the TROMP International Percussion Competition. This is the only biennial competition for solo percussionists in the world.

Glenn Kotche will compose the new, obligatory work for the final, which will be premiered by the three finalists in collaboration with Asko|Schönberg and Slagwerk Den Haag, conducted by Clark Rundell. It will be an exciting spectacle, as the world’s top three percussion talents battle shoulder to shoulder at the highest level for the jury and the audience prize. During the jury deliberations Reich’s Radio Rewrite and Het gesprek (The Conversation) by Andriessen and Padding will be performed.
