Three musicians from Het Muziek play new works by young composers between 8 and 18 years old.
Composing your own music? The composers of the future join forces with November Music! For the fifth time, the Compose It project is taking place, this year in collaboration with musicians from Het Muziek.
As part of the Compose It project, young composers aged 8 to 18 take part in a creative journey where they write their own new piece of music. Over the course of four workshops, participants learn a variety of techniques and tricks to help develop and refine their musical ideas. In a rehearsal with professional musicians, the young composers get to hear their pieces played live and receive valuable feedback. On the morning of November 16, during the November Music Festival, the newly composed works by young talents from ’s-Hertogenbosch and the surrounding area will be premiered in a festive concert in the Studiozaal of the Verkadefabriek.
Three musicians from Het Muziek will perform the brand-new compositions. With a powerful lineup of trumpet, trombone, and saxophone, the audience is guaranteed to be blown away!
In addition to the works from Compose It participants, the concert will also feature the presentation of the new Children’s Composer of the Netherlands. Composer of the Netherlands Anne-Maartje will introduce the new young composer to the public, and of course, a brand-new composition by this young talent will also be performed.
Compose It is a project by November Music and is supported by the ELJA Foundation.
