A deeply human story about love, conviction, and the courage to think differently
Spinoza – the Mokum Musical is a bold and moving production by NITE and Club Guy & Roni, in collaboration with HIIIT and Het Muziek. The summer performance will run for five weeks at the Amsterdamse Bostheater. Expect a full-on NITE experience that brings everything together — music, dance, and theatre. A deeply human story about love, conviction, and the courage to think differently — in Amsterdam, about Amsterdam.
Between thought and desire
With powerful songs, explosive dialogues, and tender scenes set against the backdrop of the Amsterdam Bos, a brother and two sisters wrestle with faith, freedom, and longing. As the city is ravaged by war and disease, they lose one another — without ever truly letting go.
Spinoza is a profoundly human story about love, conviction, and the courage to think differently. It shows that a society cannot exist on a single voice alone. We need the thinkers who dare to question everything. We need those who root us in history and tradition. And we need the bridge builders — those who stand between extremes, connecting where others divide.
Only together do we remain human.
Only together do we remain free.
