Asko|Schönberg in New York

Composition by Huan Ruo

In The Lost Garden Huang Ruo, with his dimensionalism technique, transports the listener to previously unknown spaces andrefers to our relationship with nature.
With The Sonic Great Wall Huang Ruo creates a spacious, visual, acoustic and interactive performance, using the Great Wall of China as a musical metaphor for communication. The Sonic Great Wall forges a connection to the audience with the assistance of ‘mini-stages’ depicting the watchtowers on the Wall.

The Sonic Great Wall is supported by the Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne.
All concerts are supported by Performing Arts Fund NL and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
