Asko|Schönberg will open the Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012, in collaboration with Muziekcentrum Vredenburg. The program features Dutch top composers Louis Andriessen and Martijn Padding and will present the latest violin concerto written by Andriessen, still one of the most internationally acclaimed composers from the Low Countries. In addition a recent work by Marko Nikodijevic, winner of the Gaudeamus Award 2010, which was specifically composed for the ensemble plus 7 Unceremonious occasions and Insomniac by Andys Skordis and Charlie Piper which were selected by the jury of the Gaudeamus Prize 2012.
