Last Show

A performance about the performance — where reality and illusion collide.

Last Show is a performance about the performance itself. It is a meticulously staged and controlled piece in which the content slowly dissolves. How do you respond to a world where everything has turned into a performance and a spectacle? How do you navigate a world where manipulation, deceit, and entertainment have become a labyrinth with no exit? Last Show invites you to face your own reactions — to observe them, or perhaps to play with them.

Brigitta Muntendorf is one of Germany’s most progressive voices among a new generation of composers. She creates music that explores the fragility of socio-political concepts, confronting themes such as public versus private and digital identity. The result is work that is challenging, innovative, and thought-provoking — music you can both feel and reflect upon.

This program is made possible through CONNECT – The Audience as Artist, commissioned by the Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne.
